Newington Green in north London was a dissenters enclave in the 18th century. Many Unitarians and free-thinkers lived in the area, including
Richard Price and Mary Wollstonecraft. While the character of the area has changed since then, plans are under way for a
memorial to Mary Wollestonecraft to be erected there. Newington Green also contain's London's oldest surviving terrace houses, Grade I listed, dating from 1658.
